► Searching for an Article
► Article Groups and Categories
When searching for information, there are some strategies you might employ to get the best results possible.
► Try different phrases or words when searching.
We might have used different terminology when we wrote the article.
►Use Simio terminology as much as possible.
Your question might have to do with “orders”, “parts”, or “people” moving through a system, but we might have generalized discussing the approach by referring to “entities”. Workers and Vehicles are both part of the Transporter class, so we might have referred to "Transporters" instead of "Worker" or "Vehicle" in an article.
►When articles are recommended by the search, open the article, and do another search for your keywords in the article.
Articles do not automatically open with highlighted text relevant to your search. Consider using your browser's search (ctrl+f) to search the article again for keywords.
Below are the groupings of articles you will see in the Knowledge Base tab. Each article is categorized, and a list of categories can be seen when in the group level of an article list. Articles can also be tagged. An article will only have one category but can have multiple tags.
Helpful Tip: Try filtering articles by category or tag to see pertinent articles.
